Why we’ll never sing protest songs
Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006Protest songs make it seem like the people whose attention is being requested (those in supposed power) actually have power. Power is only what seems to be power. They don’t have that power. We know that. I can’t be mad about a figurehead. Laws are meaningless. That’s what happens when the guy who is supposed to enforce the law breaks them.
