tomorrow night is the he who corrupts website release party. rock and fucking roll. i bought a suit for it today. it’s fucking brown.
i have some beer in me.
i’m glad i gave heather a computer.
i feel like lately i’ve been getting a little bit ego’d out. too much self-liking going on. i aced the hell out of a discrete math 2 test, brutalized at dodgeball and have more friends than usual. i just feel good. this could be the chemicals talking.
here are some links for your bitchasses.
this site blew my head off. i am only six foot now. my head really did explode.
eric is back in business. the boy can write. and read about how we almost got in a brawl at taco burrito palace number two but didn’t. good story.
somehow within exactly 2 hours of fixing the boylion guestbook all the assholes came back and signed it. amazing. it’s as if they’ve been checking it for the past 10000 hours waiting for it’s return so they can say how much emo sucks. i fucking care. that post totally has turned my life around let me tell you.
an interesting although somewhat pessimistic article on Jihad vs. McWorld.
the onion proves once again that it is the greatest publication in the world.
these games are genius. i can’t wait to play them in my cubicle.
listen to some new aphex twin. son, you ain’t never heard this shit.

None of this even matters. People died. Politics are secondary.

read up on some history.
no matter what, i cannot justify killing more innocent people.
here’s a little diagram for you.
WWII->Cold War->Military buildup, Puts off collapse of Soviet Union. Years go by.
Soviet Union collapses, no need for giant Military budget->Desert Storm fought to show value of military->American troops in Saudi Arabia->Bin Laden is pissed off->Takes terrorist action.
Now->We blow up some Afghani citizens(probobly do not kill Bin Laden)->They get more pissed->Biological warfare->Everyone dies.
Recently, satellite pictures have shown fields of dead cattle in Afghanistan. Think about it.

Iowa was fun. Very fun. I’m still glad I go to DePaul though. I am a very strange person in Iowa.

first. i am thankful that i live in the united states. however, in recent days, over-nationalism has been making me sick.. a terrible thing did happen, yes, however that doesn’t make me love my country any more. i do mourn the loss of the thousands who died, but when the news puts this tragedy in the context of support the troops and waving american flags it makes me sick. war is terrible. i will never take part in one. i definitly don’t love this country enough to kill or die for it. be wary of what you watch on tv. the first day of news was mostly the facts. now it’s taken a propagandist turn. and i don’t like it.
second. i don’t believe that a war with afghanistan is the answer to stamping out terrorism. to them, bin laden is a hero. there are terrorists everywhere. a war would be fought only because we need to get back on solid footing economically, we need to prove that we are still a world superpower and revenge. none of those are reason enough for me to support it.
all bad things come from nationalism and fundametalism. that’s my current world view.

Moving on.. Dodgeball is one of the greatest sports ever invented. My roommates and I started the Depaul Dodgeball Society last year and tonight was the first game of the year. It’s amazing how many friends i’ve made through it and how big it’s become. I never got the official count, but it is definitly bigger than ever. I wasn’t even planning on going, as I am leaving for the University of Iowa tomorrow early AM to visit heather. A wrench was thrown into my plans when a fraternity member took chalk and wrote that part of their rush was to play dodgeball. Our dodgeball. First, I’m not a huge fan of fraternities in general.. I don’t like the idea of them, i don’t like the things associated with them and i don’t like most people in them. There are a few exceptions. Secondly, I absolutely despise rush. It is probobly the single thing about fraternities that I hate the most, the process of groups of freshman being judged to see if they would ‘fit in’ to the frat. It always seemed like the dodgeball society was everything that frats are not. Glorified geekiness, awkwardness, weirdness, openness and no exclusion, even if you throw bad. Dodgeball was not a rush event tonight. Hopefully we turned a few kids off to buying friends and trying too hard to fit in. DDS 4 LIFE!
